Happy Holidays! I will keep this short and sweet because we all have fun and festive things to get to. The below are some holiday reminders that we can all use. Feel free to download these images to keep them handy.
Your holiday affirmation cards:
Happy Holidays with a few reminders from me to you…
Food does not equate to morality.
Do not let diet culture rob you of your festivities. Food is meant to be enjoyed.
You do not have to explain your food choices to anyone. You do not owe anyone an explanation for anything.
Food is social. Food is heritage. Food is culture. Food is fuel. Food is joy.
You do not have to make up for what you ate or eat with a side of guilt. We need food for survival, and food is meant to be delicious.
Guilt is not a side dish.
No matter your plans for the holiday season, I hope you do so imperfectly. Yes, I said imperfectly because there is no such thing as perfect. What an amazing thing it is to recognize our humanness and realize that we are all doing the best we can in a time of uncertainty. When we realize this aspect of ourselves, we realize there is no need to feel guilt. We need food, we need comfort, we need to be social, and we need joy.
Happy holidays!
This is wonderful.
Happy Holidays! Merry Christmas! 🎄
