I look forward to reading more of your work. I really loved this outlook on food. I've been keeping an eye on food language and our relationship with food with articles like this one. The moral of the story for me is... I don't really know what's "right and wrong" and maybe that's ok and maybe it's something I can learn together with my kids.

definitely reasonates with me. Words have power and eating habits is super important. I want to share my personal reflection since i was heavy coffee drinker and it caused me a lot of headache and i realized i can limit my consumption max 2 mugs per day and it improved my life. Thanks for sharing memories of Barcelona and i was there 15 years ago and loved culture of eating food and enjoying together with friends and family for hours

Powerful piece. Absolutely believe our moralizing around food and eating has done a tremendous amount of damage.

Absolutely.

Grateful substack featured this piece and you today!

And you line “We don't have to demonize certain foods, choices, or ourselves” really resonates.

A couple of years ago, I put together a small ebook titled “The Love, Pleasure & Freedom Diet” to go with my healthcare startup. We question the moralizing around our food choices and eating. As well exploring our innate drives towards love, pleasure and freedom/autonomy--and how they relate to our choices around food, fitness, eating and exercise.

Looking forward to following more of your work, Shana 🦋
